PESSAN DOOR TOWER

The Pessan tower gate is a vestige of the old fortifications from the 13th century. It is a typical specimen of a fortified gate in a Gascon village in the Middle Ages. The door is open in one of the square towers which ensured the flanking of this village, ecclesial borough, built around the old Benedictine abbey founded in 817.
