The Éclats de Voix Festival returns for its 27th edition!
In the programme :
• Tuesday June 11 at the Dôme de Gascogne: Marianne JAMES
The public knows her and loves her for her outspokenness and her sensitivity. In this new musical, interactive and irresistibly funny solo show, she takes on the role of singing teacher and takes spectators to discover their voice. An extraordinary experience where Marianne opens her heart to us and transmits her great vocal experience to us. “It’s all in the voice” will leave you aching...with laughter!!!
• Wednesday June 12 at Ciné 32: Il Boemo
Presentation and debate moderated by Jean-Marc ANDRIEU, musical director of the Montauban baroque ensemble “LES PASSIONS”
IL BOEMO, a film by Petr Václav, is a historical biopic about the Czech composer Josef Mysliveček, a forgotten genius of the 18th century who inspired Mozart.
• Thursday June 13 at the Dôme de Gascogne: A festive air
Five distinguished singers, three girls and two boys from different musical backgrounds, decide to use their voices in the most crazy way possible. They write and perform shows combining diabolical virtuosity and irresistible comedy. These singer-actors invent a genre of their own mixing humor and emotion, adding the uniqueness of a cappella singing.
• Friday June 14 at the Saint Laurent church in Fleurance: The Gesualdo Six
The Gesualdo Six are an award-winning British vocal ensemble, made up of some of the UK's finest consort singers and led by Owain Park. Praised for their imaginative programs and impeccable vocal balance, the ensemble formed in 2014 for a performance of Gesualdo's Tenebrae Responsories in Cambridge and has gone on to perform at many major festivals across the UK, the Europe, North America, Australia and New Zealand.
The quality of the singing – the blend and balance of the bass, the rounded, unforced timbre, the control of the solo voices – is exhilarating.
• Saturday 15 at the Jérôme Cuzin Center: KeSán, Lyrical Recital and A chantar
KẹSán is a group led by singer-percussionist Abdelak Lakraa, guitarist Dorian Delom and bassist Thomas Laburre. Together, they play a repertoire of new songs on energetic and fine music with Afro-Eastern-Western accents. The texts speak of travel, exile, dreams and many other things.
Lyrical recital by Cécile FORNEROD, dramatic soprano and Fabien PROU, pianist
A chantar highlights women who played an important role in the musical creation of their time. Often ignored or dismissed, women composers have left an impressive body of work that is often little-known and yet has played a major role in the history of European music.
• Sunday 16 at the Maison de Gascogne: Place for amateur choirs, from here and elsewhere
Ofelia, a mixed vocal trio from Toulouse who came together around their common love for Corsican and Occitan singing.
Cantu Di Luna, 6 male voices who cover a sacred and secular repertoire, interpreting traditional and more recent songs, always attentive to the harmony of the voices, to the balance, to the emotion that Corsican polyphony must arouse.
Ensemble elixir, which brings together singers from Toulouse and its region who have in common the desire to seek the pleasure of singing.
Nauxion Choir, 8 men who sing a varied repertoire, made up of traditional songs
We are not in bed, a choir which brings together around fifty amateur choristers who meet around a
original repertoire of songs.
