The national brand

Created by the State in 2005 in order to identify (by a rigorous selection) the activities relating to the tourism sector and to federate them around a common national brand: QUALITÉ TOURISME TM.

Its objective: to qualify the offer and rely on quality service providers to promote the destination France.

Over the course of the first few years, standards specific to each sector concerned are put in place. Thus, according to different procedures and standards, these types of structures can claim the mark:

  • the hotel industry,
  • tourist residences,
  • holiday villages,
  • campsites,
  • guest rooms,
  • Restoration,
  • cafes and brasseries,
  • seasonal rental agencies,
  • places to visit,
  • outdoor activities,
  • tourist offices,
  • point of sale cellars (since 2019),
  • marinas,
  • seminar venues,
  • guided tours,
  • VTC - Limousine.

The "depositaries" and "equivalences" at the national level

Certain network heads, responding to their own already rigorous quality charters, have obtained the title of depositary of the Qualité Tourisme TM mark. To put it simply: their own repository sticks in every way with the Qualité Tourisme TM repository and they are accredited to deliver the brand.

For example (non-exhaustive list):

  • Les Logis is the custodian of the Qualité Tourisme TM approach. The Fédération Internationale des Logis (FIL) is approved by the Ministry of Tourism to issue the Qualité Tourisme TM mark to establishments meeting the required criteria.
  • Each Yelloh! Village respects a quality charter which includes more than 510 points and rigorously checked each year by an independent audit firm. Beyond this quality charter, each camping-village is characterized by specific criteria. The quality charter of the Yelloh! Village is Quality Tourism TM approved.

Since 2019, the Occitanie region, in close collaboration with the State, the Economic Development Agency AD'OCC, the Regional Tourism Committee, the Departments and their partners in the territories (so we :-), pilot the label Qualité Tourisme Occitanie Sud de France. The latter is a variation that allows easier access to the national brand! The procedure involves, among other things, time in a group with other potential candidates and a specialist facilitator, and is all the more interesting!

We feed off exchanges with other professionals, we eventually transpose.

The regional label is recognized by the National Tourism Quality Plan
Nearly 6000 companies are labeled at the French level. The Occitanie region is the first region in France, with nearly 1 labeled in 200 different sectors.

The +: a company that is committed, simultaneously obtains the national brand and the regional label.

How to access the Quality Tourism South of France label?

  1. Manifest yourself to Sabine of the Tourist Office
  2. Your application will join that of other candidates from the Gers. Once a small group has been formed by the CDT, the first working time (1 collective day) will be scheduled. The animation is carried out by the Economic Development Agency AD'OCC. From the first contact, AD'OCC will guide you towards a posture of continuous improvement!
  3. Then, the AD'OCC communicates to you on D-day and after its personalized brief, you confirm that you are continuing the process and that you are ready!
  4. A complete audit of your services will then be carried out by a quality auditor (mystery shopper visit).
