GASCOGNE HOUSE

Located on Place Jean Dours, the Halle aux grains, whose construction was decided in 1829 by the mayor Irénée David and completed in 1843 on the site of the Cordeliers garden, symbolizes the economic importance of the city of Auch in the XNUMXth century for with regard to the grain and wine trade. Its frame is remarkable. On the facade, the motif of the caduceus of Mercury recalls its original destination.
Restored, and now known as the “Maison de Gascogne”, this building can host various cultural and commercial events throughout the year. It offers 1 m000 on the ground plus a 2 m330 gallery on the 2st floor, adjustable according to the uses.
