En Gascon land there are places that embody tradition and know-how. Terre Blanche is one of these little paradises for gourmets and fans of authentic terroirs.
Located in Saint-Puy (halfway between Auch and Condom, Grands Sites Occitanie Sud de France), the farm is surrounded by the generous Armagnac campaign where the vines rub shoulders with fields of wheat or sunflowers. See you in Terre Blanche, will you follow us?
A warm welcome
On the way to Saint-Puy, we have the impression of crossing a postcard, and arriving at the farm only amplifies this impression. Everything is there, a pretty XNUMXth century building with its dovecote, a shaded park with a few picnic tables, and two geese frolicking quietly in the shade of large trees ...
Christine comes to welcome us with the frank and generous smile of the people here. She presents her farm, talks about her family of grain farmers, the beginnings of cannery in 1982, of his love for ducks and his concern to protect them from the fox. The duck… we are getting to the heart of the matter!
Gourmet products ...
…and several times awarded at the Paris General Agricultural Competition ! On the shop side, we discuss recipes, taste, and comment on the combination of flavors. Duck rillettes or pâtés with Pousse Rapière* (produced at Château Monluc, neighboring the farm), the choice is difficult! And the essential half-cooked whole duck liver, without forgetting the confit, how can you not succumb to these sweet temptations!
We enter the cannery, where the foie gras and other rillettes are prepared and simmered. At the sight of the three imposing cast iron pots, we can already imagine the flavor of the cassoulet simmering there! The cannery also hosts cooking workshops as well as “foie gras” courses.
An adapted structure
White earth welcomes you all year round and adapts to you: you come for a simple visit, with family, friends or during a hike in the surrounding countryside: you can discover the breeding, attend a cooking demonstration, do a gourmet break and treat yourself to the country meal (remember to book!) in the park or in the “hut” (pretty equipped room opening onto the Gers valleys and able to accommodate up 120 people).
The groups, family celebrations and seminars are also welcome at the “stable” (beautiful character room that can accommodate up 160 people). Christine is at your disposal and will offer you a tailor-made program.
