A Most Beautiful Village in France?
Lavardens, classified as such, is a must. Our recommendation for this second day of discovery? Stroll through its medieval streets and stop at the castle to discover the current exhibitions.
The flowery streets with their blond stone houses nestle in the heart of the ancient ramparts. The village square has a little retro feel with its painted advertisement.
An art center, the castle hosts exhibitions and activities throughout the year. Between the cartoons of Perry Taylor, the exhibitions of glassware, ceramics and even figurines, the emphasis is placed on artistic discovery.
From the rooms of the nobles of the 17th century, to the floors unique geometric patterns in France, wandering around the castle hides some great surprises!
