1- At the “cale” car park, the former port of Saint Jean Poutge, take the old towpath downstream to a small tarmac road near the castle of Herrebouc.
2- Take the road on the right, pass in front of the house "La Hount" then on the left, follow a path parallel to the Baïse. After 2 km, you arrive at the D103 Vic-Jégun road, near a magnificent alley of cedars.
3-Cross the road. After 1km, leave an old farm "Lajean" on the right. The path, in the undergrowth, goes down to the Baïse. At the bottom of the slope, after a bend, take the path to the right.
4- Continue for 1 km until you reach a small asphalt road.
5- Turn right and follow the ridge trail to “Lahouche” for 3 km. Successively cross the Vic-Jégun road then the Lézian road. When you arrive at "Lahouche", the tarred path makes a bend to the left then immediately to the right. Continue on this road south.
6- Just before the top of the hill, turn left on a stony path for 50m and turn left after an electricity pylon. Go down 1 km to the Larranchélan valley road.

Variant: 11,5 km circuit, follow the road that goes down to marker 2 and return to the starting point at the slipway.

7- Turn right and follow the road until the sign "Chemin de la Lébé"
8- Turn right for 1,7 km until you reach a recent house.
9- Turn right and follow the rural path (viewpoint over the valley) to “Herrebouc”.
10- Go down towards “La Hount, turn twice to the left and return to the starting point by following the towpath where pyrographed panels evoke the history of navigation on the Baïse.

***
Before leaving, if you did not dare to stop there during the walk, visit the domain of Herrebouc where frank and distinctive wines are born, with a marked vintage effect.
