Take the path of the hills that surround the perched village of Lavardens, where the castle is revealed at any time on its rocky promontory.
1 - Go down the street to the left of the church and take the D 214 in the direction of Castéra-Verduzan to a place called L'Enclos.
2 - After the buildings, take the dirt road to the right that goes up to the Coutarde farm and go around the buildings to the right. Take a left on the tarmac path towards the water tower until the intersection.
3 - Go down the path to the left towards Le Cordelier and continue on the D 214 for 200 m, up to the Croix du Barron.
4 - Fork to the right, cross the Guzerde at the ford and continue to the Menjeton crossroads.
> Variant (complete circuit of 5 km): turn left, go along the valley and find the main circuit (marker 8).
5 - Turn right and go to Encraman. After the farm, go up to the left through the fields to the edge of the woods. There, go along to the left and up to Arrouy. Join the D 103, follow it to the right for 50 m, then fork to the left and head left towards the Encapetle farm.
6 - Before the Sainte-Marie chapel, turn right through meadows to reach old mills. Take the small road to the left for 1 km until the En-Jourdan junction.
7 - Go down the path to the left towards En-Bouet and continue to the left along the valley.
8 - Turn right to cross the stream and continue along the path that leads back to the village.
