Auch – Masseube

A gentle route from the city to the countryside.
From Auch train station, join the greenway along the Gers River. It will take you out of town to join the Chemin des Thermes: head towards Pessan, where the village, its gate tower, and its abbey church are worth the detour.

The route climbs a little, to offer pretty views of Auch, the Gers valley and the Pyrenees mountain range.

Continue on your way to the village of Castelnau-Barbarens (charming hilltop village), before heading back up towards Auterrive where a small country road along the Gers awaits you. Stop off at Sansan Paleosite.

Masseube – Mirande

From Masseube, take the D27 for a few meters, then climb up to Bézues-Bajon which will offer you a superb view of the Gers valley and the Pyrenees mountain range.

You will then cross the Astarac Regional Natural Park from east to west, passing through Panassac and Samaran, to Duffort. From there, you will join the Baïse Valley Cycle Route V82 heading north to Mirande.

Mirande – Auch

Going up the Baïse Valley Cycle Route V82 towards the North and despite a few rather sharp pedal strokes, the village of A moment worth the detour !

You will then arrive at Ordan-Larroque, a charming flowery village where you can set foot to explore its small streets.

Then you will descend towards the Armagnac State Forest, a plunge into greenery and freshness, before arriving at the town of Auch. You will end your route facing the unmissable Sainte-Marie cathedral.
