LE MALTHUS

Marthe welcomes you in a beautiful stone building and typical Gascon in the heart of one of the "Most Beautiful Villages of France".
In the main street, the Malthus, creperie/tea room offers traditional and family cuisine, made up of fresh and mostly local or organic products.

The house specialty, the Chioula plate: 1/2 hot camembert, dry ham, steamed potatoes and green salad. But also à la carte: various mixed salads or omelettes.

A small grocery store is adjacent to the restaurant: you will find general products (sugar, flour ...) but also local products (such as organic lentils from Lavardens).

The night markets of Lavardens in July and August are known and highly coveted by locals and visitors. Marthe provides the terrace and large tables outside. The friendly and festive atmosphere is lively; during the market we laugh, we taste and dance, we meet the producers and artisans of the Gers region!

The Malthus organizes evenings and concerts in the company of often local artists (jazz, pop, rock...). Sign up for the restaurant's newsletter for more information.
