If from the outside, at first glance, we see decoration, once we pass through the front door a pleasant surprise awaits us inside...
I've barely gotten home and I already feel like I'm going to like this shop. In every corner, a new decorative object catches my eye.
The peculiarity of this shop is discovered by me as I walk forward. There, before my eyes, and to my great delight, is a whole confectionery section which will delight all gourmets: chocolates, candied fruits, sugared almonds, calissons, marshmallows, coffee, tea...
Sophie
It's Sophie, the manager of the place, who welcomes me, a big smile on her face.Let yourself be carried away...
Not yet knowing what I'm looking for, this is what Sophie advises me. These are her watchwords when you enter her shop.
So I begin my wandering. On each shelf, I discover a new object, some more classic, some very original and above all, I find gift ideas for all ages. Because in her shop, even the youngest are spoiled: stuffed animals, toys, music boxes... Sophie even explains to me that in the confectionery section, she often organizes it according to the seasons. So we have Easter doves for Easter, panettones for Christmas, hearts for Valentine's Day...
Throughout my exploration, Sophie makes herself available to answer my questions. She explains to me that she works with French companies with know-how, labeled Living Heritage Companies (EPV) where quality and transmission of know-how are examples of shared values.
She tells me about the history of each object or candy that I show her.
Do you know what a Galileo thermometer is and what it's used for? (A little clue in the photo...) Or that the Lyon cushion, which she sells in her shop, is listed as a national confectionery heritage site?
A tasting is even offered during our exchange, and what a delight.
I am, without a doubt, charmed! If the first time I entered it was out of curiosity, since then, I return there for gluttony or whenever I need different gift ideas!
