THE PATH OF SOURCES AND BATHS

This little loop takes you to local sources. At the top of the Lanizan path and especially at the Le Germain farm, you will have an exceptional view of the village of Castelnau-Barbarens, clinging to the rock with the surrounding countryside. In the valley, at the Tumulus lakes, a first source with a continuous flow feeds two lakes formerly dedicated to fish farming. Going down towards the village, at La Quèque and Embernelli other sources testify to the existence of old baths where residents were welcomed for weeks of beneficial treatment from 1840 to 1964. Enjoy your walk!
