CIRCUITS - AUCH AND ITS REGION BY ELECTRIC BIKE

Lovers of quiet effort, departing from the capital of Gascony, hop on an electrically assisted bike for a circuit of less than 20km between town and villages...AUCH
Departing from the Mouzon room car park on rue du Général de Gaulle, turn right, cross the bridge then turn right onto avenue Pierre de Montesquiou.
Take the direction of Auterrive (via Lavacant).

AUTERRIVAL
A snack or picnic break can be taken at Auterrive (tables), a pleasant little village located in one of the meanders of the Gers. Old water mills.

Once you have crossed the village of Auterrive, reach the stop sign for the D929: cross to take the Chemin de Trouilles. At this level, we take the steepest part of the route, we cross the Gers countryside.

Then the road descends until it rejoins the D929 a few meters before the village of Pavie.
Take the D929 (beware of traffic).

PAVY
Old country house located south of the city of Auch retains many testimonies of its past, the most remarkable of which is the small XNUMXth century bridge spanning the Gers river.
The Notre-Dame du Cédon church, rebuilt in the XNUMXth century and located at the exit of the village, was a once frequented pilgrimage center. It houses a very old statue of the Virgin.

It is also a pleasant base for a break near the Gers (fishing shade, benches ...).
There are guided tours of the village by a Country of Art and History guide every Wednesday in July and August 2020 at 17 p.m.

Then continue to return to Auch by the same route as on the outward journey to return to the parking lot of the Mouzon room.

If you want to go further in discovering Auch: cross the Mouzon bridge (Avenue du Général de Gaulle) then turn right on rue des Lilas, continue straight ahead on rue Amiral Bugard. At the stop sign, turn right onto Boulevard Sadi Carnot then immediately left to bypass the car park (Lagarrasic quay). Turn left on rue Raspail (cross to continue on rue Raspail). Pass the Caillou district then continue after the bend through rue Saint-Jacques. At the end of the small rue Saint-Jacques, continue straight ahead to go up to the historic center of Auch via the rue de Florence, then rue de la Convention and rue Espagne. Arrive on the Cathedral Square.
Bicycle parking is available on the Place de la Liberation, at the foot of the statue.
Start the tour of the historic center (meet at the tourist office to get a map of two signposted circuits in the historic center to visit independently. Guided tours are available all year round.
