Lahitte

Vue aérienne du village de Lahitte

Lahitte

he village of Lahitte is overlooked by a defensive tower which became the bell tower of the 18th-century church . There were once two fortified areas: the principal church, built in the late 10th century, including the church and its bell tower, are the remains of one; while the tower called "Tour du Roi", now entirely destroyed, was the other. Here, Louis XIII received loyalty tributes from the lords of the surrounding areas.

Don't miss, in Lahitte

  • The church and bell tower with partially listed features,
  • A private 18th-century castle,
  • A 19th-century windmill.
  • Grotto with devotional fountain dedicated to Sainte Radegonde
