THE ROMAN TOWER

The Roman tower, also known as the Caesar tower or the tower of the Blue Penitents, is the oldest building in the city. Integrated into the ancient ramparts of the city, its base would have been built with materials from the Gallo-Roman city. It was built in a characteristic structure made of alternating rows of small stones and flat bricks. The tower has been listed as a historic monument since 1964.
