A calm and relaxing place, perfect for a stroll on the outskirts of the town centre of Auch, the Parc de l’hôtel du Département is accessible all year round.
Auch, the capital of Gascony, is home to the Parc de l'Hôtel du Département. Designed by an exotic species enthusiast, Irénée David, in the 19th century, it had more than 5000 varieties.
Today, it is still home to rare and remarkable oaks, horse chestnuts and American chestnuts... as well as a lake with bald cypresses. A wonderful setting for a walk!
