But who is Jean-Louis Nogaret de la Valette, Duke of Épernon? Discover the story of this Gersois, younger of Gascony like d'Artagnan, who lived from 1554 to 1642 and rubbed shoulders with the greatest of his time. Called by Richelieu "viceroy of the south-west", he was disavowed by his contemporaries and erased from history after his numerous feats of arms. This exhibition is produced by the City of Samatan and co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
