In the heart of Madiran, at the confluence of the Hautes-Pyrénées, the Pyrénées-Atlantiques and the Gers in Gascony, Alain Brumont has established more than a brand, a concept. Better, a Brumont taste, a visionary style
The first Château Montus vintage, dated 1982, stands out with its unique blend of 80% Tannat and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. An innovator, Alain Brumont produced the first Madiran 100% Tannat, the first cuvée 100% new barrels. He is the first to mount barrels at the top of the Pic du Midi and the first winemaker in the South-West to reach the level of the greatest wines in the world. Château Montus is today one of the icons of the world's Top 10. Without forgetting the Château Bouscassé 2014, n ° 13 in the Top 100 of Wine Enthusiast 2018, and before him, Bouscassé 2009, which is part of the World Top 100 of Wine Spectator.

Through the different wine tourism formulas, enter the unique world of Alain Brumont, a great collector of exceptional terroirs.

Discover Château Montus (registered as a Historic Monument since 1988), a mythical place for the creation of exceptional wines. Immerse yourself in the heart of the emblematic La Tire plot, the most prestigious of the BRUMONT vineyards and the highest point of the appellation, overlooking the Madiran vineyard. Visit its barrel cellar, the first underground cellar in the South-West, designed by renowned architect Edmond Lay, walk through its Philosophical Gardens and let yourself be guided through a commented tasting of a selection of wines from the estate.

Similarly to the “Birth of an Icon” visit, dive into the Secrets of Château Montus, explore its history, its vinification facilities, its unmissable bacchic mosaic vat room and its majestic aging cellar dedicated to Tannat. You will discover, through a Food and Wine Pairing lunch, a masterful interpretation of a very powerful terroir
