The Seissan market is a true local institution that is held every Friday morning on the vast Place Carnot and in the Rue du Marché. Since its creation in 1532 it has become an unmissable event for locals and visitors.
In addition, from October to March, a foie gras market is set up under the large hall, offering fresh foie gras and duck carcasses.
On the first Friday in August, Seissan celebrates "Lo Marcat de Beth Temps A", an old-fashioned market where exhibitors and visitors dress in period costumes. This festive day is enlivened by a garage sale and flea market, demonstrations of old trades, art artisans, photo exhibitions and traditional games. The festivities also include traditional meals at noon.
